Fairfax for RCV is a movement working to bring Ranked Choice Voting to Fairfax County. We believe every voter deserves a voice and a system that represents our diverse community. What is Ranked Choice Voting?
Ranked Choice Voting (RCV) gives voters more choice and a stronger voice. Instead of picking just one candidate, voters can rank them in order of preference, so if your favorite candidate doesn’t win, your vote still counts. RCV encourages more positive campaigns, while reducing strategic voting and ensuring that your representative has broad community support. With RCV, Fairfax County can build a fairer, more representative democracy; a democracy that truly reflects what our diverse community wants, needs, and deserves.
